In Wroclaw, the famous duchess played a prominent American soprano Meagan Miller, associated mainly with New York, but recently more and more often occurring outside the United States. Prior to successfully debuted on the stage of the Metropolitan Opera in another opera written by Strauss and Hofmannsthal, Die Frau ohne Schatten, but also can be admired in Vienna, Tokyo as Ariadne auf Naxos. Miller, a woman of beauty and maturity, gifted with a great, strong voice of clear sound with a natural charisma, dominated in the first and third act of Rosenkavalier, as indeed the intentions of the authors of the opera. The artist has created a fascinating and very convincing portrait of a noblewoman, dominates the scenes of numerous characters during the three and a half hours to present not only born, but rather intelligence and sense of humor, often bitter. It is for just such singers Strauss wrote his most beautiful piece of music, the final trio in Der Rosenkavalier.
